Be your own director with this incredibly versatile movie maker! Digital Movie Creator is the perfect gift for the budding young director in your family. It gives users the ability to shoot movies and then add special effects, titles, sounds, and even transitions between scenes with easy-to-use software. The software is fun to use, and features a simple interface that keeps the entire process of creating a movie simple and fun.

Direct a few movies, take some pictures, e-mail at will. Digital Movie Creator provides all of the functions you need in a device that's as portable and easy to handle. On the road, record up to four minutes of video and audio before downloading to your hard drive; at your PC, keep on filming or snapping away until your hard drive runs out of space. Digital Movie Creator imports AVI video files, JPG and BMP image files and WAV audio files, and exports AVI, WMV, JPG and BMP files.

Camera:
The camera is easy to hold in little hands, and operation is simple: You hold down the button and record away. There is an LCD screen that indicates how many scenes were created, and gives some indication of how much space is left. The camera has a timer mode, so you can start the recording on a delay -- which gives the camera operator the chance to step into shots. It can store up to four minutes of video that can be downloaded to a PC using the included cradle connected to the computer through a USB port. Aside from video, the camera can shoot still photographs and record sound using a built-in microphone.

Software:
On the software side, Digital Movie Creator is a real blast. Every button and mouse click results in some kind of tactile feedback with sound, so you'll always know your clicks are productive. Getting the footage you shot into the computer is a snap -- one click, actually -- and the software ships with a myriad of stock footage to spice up your films.

You can quickly add text, sound effects, transitions, even music using the drag-and-drop interface. The software is simple. There's no need to learn time codes (or even know what they are) and no complicated menus -- everything is drag and drop.
